My personal headcanon for any future Eeveelutions is that they have a similar method of evolution to Sylveon (knows a move of that type and evolves with high friendship) or use of one of the newer stones, such as this Eeveelution being the result of using a Dusk Stone.
My theory aside, this is a pretty cool Eeveelution! The name "Ethereon" that someone else mentioned is perfect.
